Who says you need one wedding cake when you can have three. Last weekend we had an opportunity to make a cake for a beautiful couple. They are very modern so we made cakes for their wedding to represent them and their personalities.
One of the cakes was decorated in vertical silver fondant strips and hydrangeas, which represented groom. The flavors of this cake was chocolate cake soaked with rum and chocolate buttercream, banana cake with hazelnut buttercream and hazelnuts.
The other double height cake was made to represent the bride. It was decorated in chevron pattern and big and beautiful open sugar peony. The flavors of this cake were vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream and passion fruit buttercream, red velvet and vanilla.
The middle cake was made to represent them as a couple. Geometrical, fun cake. The flavors of this cake were sour cream cake with prunes and walnuts, vanilla cake with French cream and raspberries and vanilla cake with passion fruit buttercream.
We also made 50 cake pops to match the wedding colors silver, white and light lime green.
Congratulations Sana and Vova!
